Editing the device name

How do I change the name of my device? I'm sure I saw it shown somewhere when I was floating around not paying attention....now I wanna change it and I can't find it. If I sync to the desktop, all is fine. Throw a laptop in the mix to sync to it changes my devices name, then when I go back to sync with the desktop, it re-recognizes it by it's new name.

Got to Settings/device ID.

there is no DEVICE ID icon anywhere under the settings menu. There's a DEVICE INFORMATION icon, with an IDENTITY tab, but the device name is not shown there.

I believe you are talking about setting/system/about/device Id
