BT headset button not launching voice dialer

I'm using Phoenx06's C&S Rom, and I notice that though I paired my Jabra headset with the phone and it works fine when the phone initiates a phone call, I can't wake up the phone and start voicedialer by hitting the headset button. This used to work on the Verizon ROM. Can anyone help? What else do I need to do so that when I hit the BT headset's button, the phone wakes up and the voicedialer lets me speak a voice tag into the headset like it used to?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Do you have either Cyberon Voice Commander or MS Voice Command installed? Their icons would be in Start > Settings > Personal. If you don't have the icon there, then voice dialing isn't going to work.

If you do have one of them, make sure that it's enabled. Report back after you've checked...

I have Cyberon Voice Commander and MS Voice Command, but I haven't installed either of them. With my official Verizon ROM, the BT button used to turn on "Voice speed dial", which was fine because I could use recorded tags to dial numbers through the headset. Now, this doesn't work any more. I can activate the speed dial by pushing (once) the record button on the device, and once the tag activates the phone, my headset kicks in. But it used to work to launch the voice speed dial from the button. Is there any way I can bring that back? Will installing the full Voice Commander or MS Voice Command work any better?

Thanks,

Mike

As long as you have some type of voice command software loaded in the ROM, I can't see why your headset button is no longer activating it. I'd try installing MS Voice Command to see if it helps. If still no go, perhaps there's an issue with your headset. Have you tried deleting/pairing the headset?

Yep - I've tried re-pairing. One thing I see under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\OEM\VoiceCommand key in the registry is the "VoiceCmdEnable" is set to 0. Should it be something else by any chance?

I have the same problem. I can receive calls by pushing the Answer Button on the Jabra BT - it stays connected for the duration of the call. In order to initiate a call, I have to push the 'Record' button once on the 6700 and then push the 'Answer' button on the BT headset. I then hear the Cyberon Voice Prompts on my BT. Sometimes it stays connected and sometimes it drops out after about 20 seconds.
One clue - when playing music through the BT, it only stays connected for about 20 secs.. Anyone got any ideas???
