Can the 6700 be used with AT&T service???

I have just about had enough of Verizon and am wanting to switch carriers. I have 2 - 6700's and love them and have finally gotten them configured the way I want. Verizon is wanting to charge me for 2 data plans (unlimited) with text/photo messaging and one standard phone (my sons) also with text/photo messaging, $220.00 for 1200 min family share plan - no rollover. I have begged and pleaded with them to give me a 900 min data plan for just one of the 6700's and they still want $185.00 and is forcing me to go with the 1200 min's for the family plan. I have had several other issues with Verizon and have finally had enough. After being a customer of theirs for now over 10 years, I am going to switch over to AT&T services (or better if someone else can recommend).
My question is this:
I do not see carrier customization for AT&T in the Kitchen and I have called AT&T and gotten a sales rep that didn't seem to know much but he did tell me that the 6700 could not be used with AT&T services. He tried to sell me the touch in it's place. The touch looks a ton like the 6800 so someone please correct me if I am wrong. Does anyone know if the 6700 can be used with AT&T services?
Many thanks in advance - Great forum and thanks to everyone for their hard work here.

Just off the head, I believe AT&T is not a CDMA network......the 67 is a CDMA phone.

Correct...the 6700 is a CDMA phone, and the ATT network is GSM. You should be able to switch to any other CDMA network such as Sprint, Alltel, etc.

Also, I'll warn you that the Touch is nothing like the 6800 (Mogul). You may want to research the T____ name of the device on AT&T website. The Touch is very clean whereas the 6800 has many buttons and a sliding keyboard. I concur that the 6700 cannot be used on the AT&T network.

AT&T network and 6700 won't work (as others said - it's not CDMA)...
If you move to AT&T you might want to take a look at their new "Tilt" device...
