i had the same issue after i first put the aku 2.2 rom on there, and even tho i had the bt audio toggle switch, i had the same problem he had, after trying a bunch of things i put the bt audio on.exe in the program files folder and it worked everytime. dont even have to lock the phone first and go through the steps.

I had this exact same problem after updating to AKU 2.2.

I found this post and did not have to try flashing the original ROM in order to fix it, the BTon and BToff programs work.

They have to be used in conjunction with the BT Toggle program, first toggle BT Audio on and then run BT on and the BT headset works no problems.

The previous fixes, BT toggle or turning BT on with the device locked still work but they only last a few seconds then the device switches back to the internal speaker.

This is a bit more cumbersome than the old way but better than going back to the Sprint firmware.

Thanks for your help with this issue and for all of the useful info on this phone.
