Can't remove extended battery

Hi all,

I just bought an xv6700 off of eBay and to my surprise, it came with an extended battery. However, the phone won't turn on and it looks like there are some bent contacts behind the battery, but I can't figure out a way to remove the battery to investigate.

Can anyone describe what I need to do to remove the battery? I've tried pulling on it, but it won't come out. Is that usually all that there is to removing it?

Thanks in advance!

Nevermind. Turns out it was inserted improperly and had bent some of the battery contacts. I pried it out with the stylus, sending the battery flying into a wall, and bent the contacts back into place and it turns on now.

Not bad for a $75 unit.
