You'll want to save your ext_rom contents (just copy the files off). If cellcome uses a custom splash, you'll lose that. Using the kitchen will be a bit trial and error for you, as you'll have to integrate the meaningful bits from the ext_rom as well as determine your CID. You can try using one of the other carriers as a template. If you need help, post again. If you get it working, please post your carrier config files so we can integrate into the kitchen.

Allright! I got the correct rom on. A couple of questions. I was able to put my extended rom files on and run them. I put them in my personal file. Where should I put them so if I sell the phone and a hard reset is done...the alltell ext rom files don't run and cellcoms do? Is there any way to get rid of the alltel splash screen and put the generic UT starcom screen back on?

Everything is unbelievably working for me tonight. I got the extended rom cabs to load automatically on a hard reset so I figured out question 1. All I have to do is change the splash screen from alltel to the generic ut starcom one. Please help me with this last thing. And thanks for the help so far!

That's easy...use the kitchen and put whatever you want on as a splash, and get a customizable, newer WM6 in the process.
Alternatively, there's a directory in the kitchen (tools/splash tools) that has a tool for modifying the image in your alltel rom. |
