SIC problem? or activesync?

I can't get my phone to stop locking up ALL THE TIME. It started happening a long time ago with the factory supplied rom, so I flashed up to colonial's aku 3. The problem went away then started up again out of nowhere. Flashed again to the newest WM6 and newest radio, and it was fine for a day or two, but once again its bogging down.

I've made sure I close all running programs so its not a total noob error. I haven't gone through the trouble of changing the sic to 0 yet, that might still be the issue. But the thing thats annoying as hell is every time i've flashed and it bogs down, Active sync just keeps opening its self. every time i miss a phone call after 1/2 of ONE RING, I'll notice nothing is really open except good ol active sync.

what should I do?

and where are u guys getting all your ppc software, I've looked in the FTP section and cant find any installers.

I don't know if I can help you with the phone locking up issue but if you provide a little more info that would help.
1. What ROM are your running? Are you using the kitchen or one of the pre-made ROMs? If you are using the kitchen, post your selections text.
2. What programs are you installing after you flash? Could be something you are installing. Try a hard reset, the install your programs one at a time till you figure out which one is the culprit.

As for the 1/2 ring and missed call- Where is your ring tone stored. If it is stored on your storage card then that is most likely the reason. Move it to your ring tone folder in My Documents on your device and see if that corrects the issue. That is the most common cause and solution.
With the active syn issue- there is a fix posted on here somewhere. It is a reg edit I believe. I will try to hunt it down for you but search in the meantime.
Hope this helps.

The ringer was on the storage card, but after reading that doing so can cause this problem i switched back to a device stored ringer, and the problem persists.

i'm using the SPCS_WM6_CE_5.2.1908_B7 rom and 1.43 radio. I didnt install anyhting at first, but didnt get a lot of calls to test it out at the time and since installed TCPMP and winmobile torrent, but i havent even started up a torrent or ran the program in the background. So far I've narrowed it down to a problem with the phone or some setting. Is this an uncommon problem?

Have you considered using the kitchen? I think you try and build your own an tinker a bit. Very easy to do, you may have already tried. Just a thought. The problems you are having with freezing shouldn't be a hardware issue.
*edit- If you are using someones prebuilt ROM you should post you question in the thread you downloaded the ROM from. Maybe someone else has had the same problem and can offer support. Otherwise like I said above the Kitchen is easier than ever. Give it a try. Here is a link to instructions for using the kitchen.
