someone can correct me if Im wrong but I dont think the radio has anything to do with the bluetooth. The radio has to do with cellular and data connections.
Did you try my post three up from here?? It has to do with the quality of sound from the bluetooth. Also has to do with the A2DP audio....You could just install the cab file. |

oh i see...
You could still try them because they arent really for stereo bluetooth to do with this program but for setting the quality between the phone and the BT headset no matter what it is used for. Could help you out. |
Update
Ok,
I did try the Reg Ed's suggested in the two threads mentioned, plus the BT Audio cab as well. The results are the same - crappy audio quality on my hands-free devices. I even vainly attempted some adjustments to the "quality" Reg key, but noticed no differences. To recap, the hands-free devices I use have a static/crackle sound associated with the audio. I have not tried my stereo headphones. *My hands-free devices* Platronics Discovery 640 (quality slightly degraded) Magellan Maestro 4040 (quality heavily degraded) Dell Latitude 650 (moderate-heavily degraded) I think it's important to note, all these devices were fine under WM5. |
Im fresh out of ideas....sorry I couldnt help. I really thought that would help you with the poor sound quality.

Does anyone here have the Plantronics 520 bt headset? It works really well with voice, but won't play any music for me. I've tried all the various cabs from this forum but none has worked. The "wireless stereo" option in the bt settings when I pair it to my htc phone is grayed out ... does this mean that the headset cannot do music at all? Even though I really like this unit, if that's true, I'll need to return it and find one that does.

Have you tried adding a UseJointStereo setting in the registry?
HKLM>Software>Microsoft>Bluetooth>A2DP>Settings UseJointStereo DWORD Value=2 You could also try setting the DWORD Value to 0 or 1. I think the recommended setting is 1, but on my Plantronics 855, I get better quality stereo sound if I set it to 2. I'd recommend turning off the headset, deleting it in the Bluetooth connections, turning off BT, making the registry change, turning BT back on, waiting a few seconds, then turning the headset back on to re-pair it. At that point it should offer you options for setting it as "Wireless Stereo" and "Hands-free." kal |
Thanks, but yes, I already have a UseJointStereo setting in my registry, set to 1. So, I followed all of your recommended steps, and set the value to 2. Still no joy!

That said, I had to install the hacked Tornado BT files to even get wireless stereo to work with my XV6700 and HT820 headphones. I haven't installed the new AKU3.3 or any kitchens yet. |

Are you referring to this Tornado cab, and would this work for me if my headset only has the headset profile option? http://www.pocketpcaddict.com/forums/file502.html |
