ok I just did this myself, found the info somewhere else but this works
discover, partner you did fine make new outbound port, at serial port 6 - only 6 works for me make no inbound port at all Now, you'll need to hack your registry to get the GPS control panel to show http://ppcgeeks.com/add-gps-settings...light,gps.html In the GPS control panel set the program port to none, hardware port to 6, and then... your app should find the GPS @ com6 |

My first guess was right. I did exactly what you said, but it didn't work before...
Until I found out why... the reason it didn't work, is because I added an incoming port. If I delete every other port, it work like a charm. the second thing is I should not put the maps on storage/my documents/tomtom... but directly into Storage/Canada_maps Here is the complete guide to install TomTom Quote:

I have TomTom on my Treo 650 and it works good, but I gave up on trying to get TomTom to work on my PPC 6700 and went with iGuidance instead. Thanks for you very complete installation instructions. Maybe I'll give it another go.

How is iGuidance. I got the Version 3. I haven't give it a chance yet.
So far I really like TomTom. It's amazing. except for the maps. They are HUGE... for North America Maps, they are like 1gb already. My storage card is 1GB... haha I'm buying a 2GB on Frys.com for only $20, I hope to get it before I go to US |

IGuidance is equivalent to TomTom, for what I want/need. I use the two programs interchangeably depending on which device I need (phone calls versus an internet connection. I carry both the 650 and the 6700 with me. The 650 is much, much better in bright daylight.

I am using iguidance 3.0 and I like it. You don't have to load the whole us map in your card. Instead just load the states you're traveling to.
