Destinator 666 (HELL)

Guys (& Ladies) here's the problem...

I've been using Destinator since version 3, the application worked with no issues on my IPAQ 1940.

I got the PPC6700 just over a year ago, hoping to replace my IPAQ, and phone and MP3 Player.

Found out that Destinator 3 didn?t work on WM5, waited a few months, downloaded Destinator PN from their website, found out that it did install on the 6700 and that it was able to read the maps I had from version 3.

But as I am driving there are screen delays which cause me to miss my exit most of the time, this isn?t very effective. I?ve tried every tweak known to man, woman and child that you can possibly do to a 6700 to make it a little faster? Still the same problem.

A buddy of mine sent me Destinator 6 (the new version) but I still have the old maps. Although the new interface is more responsive I still have the same problem, the route doesn?t redraw fast enough.

If I am driving without using the navigation (take me to) feature the maps work, and it shows me exactly where I am, and the screen moves with no issues? it?s just when I tell the software to take me somewhere is when all hell breaks loose.

Has anyone seen this?

I'm running Destinator off of the Memory Card.

Will getting the new maps (the ones for version 6) make this problem go away?
Is my 6700 just too slow to handle this?
Is my memory card access speed not fast enough?

i would try getting the maps from the new version. also, i don't remember where i read this from, but i think that you'll need 64 mb of ram in order for destinator 6 to work correctly...but i may be wrong.

I'm using an external BT GPS.

The problem only occurs when I have Destinator take me to an address. if I have the program running and I drive around, the screen doesn't lag and everything updates realtime.
