it sounds like you may have overloaded the rom with too many programs there is only so much you can stuff in there try removing a couple of items and reflashing

If the ROM he built was too big he should have received an error in the build process that told him it was too big. The BuildOS process is smart in that sense.

aparantly i DID have too many programs in the ROM, i had to put the phone in bootloader mode and reflash it with a rom that didnt have so many programs, after that it worked fine.
the nice people over in the IRC chat were able to help me with this and my 6700 is alive once again |

What version bootloader do you have? Your selections.txt (the too full one) would be helpful.

I thought the BuildOS should determine before flashing the device if it will fit? Hmmm the selections file is going to be interesting...

i think it overwrites that file when you rebuild the rom right? if so that file is long gone since ive probably built over 5 roms after my phone got stuck
as far as boot loader goes: how do i find out what version i have? |
|
||||
It only overwrites when you save your selections, not on every build.
bootloader version is on the screen (faintly) when you are in bootloader mode. |

It does, but not correctly for 2.04/2.05 bootloader versions. I'll fix that in the next revision. There was one person who reported a similar symptom, but had a 1.00 bootloader, I believe - I need that selections.txt. (or the selections.txt and bootloader revision of any similar failure involving a non-2.04/2.05 phone)
