Icons that won't go away

I've got a PPC 6700 and have removed some programs. However the icons still appear under "my programs". Does anyone know on how to remove them. I've even tried through active sync.

you'll need to delete the shortcuts from /windows/start menu/Programs

When I try and delete the icon nothing happens. Do i need to go into setting ? Sorry for being a dummy

nall u need to navigate to the folder posted above and delete what u don't need.
