screen alignment

my 6700 has a dead spot on the digitizer exactly in the middle of the screen

it took me forever to align the screen after the dead spot occurred and it caused my alignment to be off

is there any way i can manually align the screen without taping the + signs? like somewhere in the registry or something?

im getting my digitizer fixed on Monday but the alignment thing is really annoying and i would love to know if theres a way i can manually do it for now.

ive already tried cleaning that, but doesnt help since the mis-alignment was because i reflashed my 6700 to wm5 so i can get it fixed by sprints TEP thing, the dead spot made it extremely hard to accurately align the screen by tapping the + signs

VX 6700 DOA alignment screen help found

OK guys, I think this may help some of you out, I know I went nuts over this and just got lucky with Verizon giving me a $50 refub. unit. There is a site www.codefactory.es they have a neat "Screen Remote Alignment" utility that is in reality for visually impared users, it allows you to get past the screen by loading the data from their files. I have not used this but it looks and sounds like it should work. This is a 40 day free trial, I know that these people must have spent time and money on this so use your discretion on use and payment.
If you find that this works I think you should make it a sticky as I have seen many requests for this utility. Tell em "Lowestpricecopiers" gave you the tip. BTW, there is lots of cool stuff on their site for many makes and models.
