way to save web file direct to storage card?

every once in a while I'll grab a podcast mp3 file off the net. even when I select to save it to the storage card it seems to first download it to the temporary internet files folder in memory, then copy it over when finished. if the file is 25MB though, it crashes or hangs IE once I run out space even if the sd card has lots of space available.

is there any reg hack or fix for this?

I read about moving the temp internet files to the card but people reported lots of problems with websites not opening randomly.

thats the only way is to move the temp files to the storage card
