If you're using an early stock WM5 rom (AKU3.3 fixed this, I believe), you'll have trouble with the SD card randomly not mounting after a wakeup from standby.

How do I know what rom...bootloader....etc that I have, and will this thing support a 4gb card?

4gd cards will more than likely need the sdhc cab to
use any miniSDs bigger than 2gb. Most 4gb card are SDHC. i just upgraded myself toa 4gb and "Im Lovin it"

Sarge,
Just include the SDHC ("Secure Digital, High Capacity" or something like that) card drivers in your rom build from the kitchen. Note that SDHC drivers are not needed for cards 2GB and smaller (which follow the older SD standard, whose upper limit is 2GB), nor for certain 4GB cards that seem to follow the old standard except for capacity. [Edit: Obviously, buy your card first. Any card showing "SD" only with no speed rating is not an SDHC card.]
