Sad day... 6700 decalred totaled at the local sprint store.

Well, it bit me in the ass...

Been using headphones for a year, no issues. Two days before Christmas, when I will get my bt stereo headphones, the 6700 is for the first time ever mute without a wired set of headphones installed.

*&%$#@!

Did the 1000 insert/removes of headphones...
did the hard reset...
Brought it into the sprint store so they could try and fix it....
No joy. They did less then I did, and suggested the hard reset would fix it all (uh, duh. No, it won't)
So I do it so they can see that it's still the $0.05 headphone jack that's broken....

$57 later, they are swapping it for a mogul.

Sigh.

I didn't want a mogul. Gonna do an ESN swap with the wife's 6700, so she'll get the mogul (she uses mostly phone functions anyway) and I'll get her very lightly used 6700.

Next year we'll replace the last 6700 for whatever they've got to replace the touch, and I'll end up with the mogul.

Anyway, I'll miss the bugger. Oddly enough, that is the first mobile phone I have ever killed, through normal use, and in just over a year to boot. Not really well made, are they.

How's the mogul (6800) kitchen coming?

I feel ya. Posted a thread that my tester 6700 gave it's screen to replace the one I busted on my pedalboard. Time's getting short on the mighty Apache, but I plan on keeping mine till it falls apart! BTW I coulda hooked ya up with that headphone jack!

Not I. I can field strip a 6700 in about 10 minutes, and am MIL-T9000 certified in soldering. Haven't started a house fire yet!
