As far as I know you are doing it correctly. If my batt needs changing out I just pull it out and replace it with the charged one and power back on the device. It works everytime and w/o issues. What type of issues are you having when you say the device is having issues when responding to a batt change out?

Mine will never power back on with a battery change unless i soft start it, (and that doesnt always seen to work) Pushing the power button does absolutly nothing. Best luck is to put it back in the charger for a couple seconds. once it does power on the devise works great.

I agree with Buck. I had terrible issues getting mine to recognize the new battery. Even a soft reset didn't do it most times. I usually messed around with the power button for a good 2-3 minutes before it would turn on.

Hold the Power button until the backlight comes on (10 seconds).... that should work.... works for me every sigle time and I switch batteries daily.

I second that. You have to hold down the power button for 5-10 seconds for it to power back up. Sticking it on a charger will also make it boot, but if you had access to a charger you probably wouldn't be needing the second battery right : )

The proper procedure to power on the phone after replacing the battery is using the stylus to press in the soft reset button while pressing the power button at the same.
Push both in quickly at the same time and she should fire right up. Works everytime for me. |
