well good news is i have a cricket account now. my prl file works and i have calling and text. but i did some reading and it looks like i might have to flash my rom so i can get mms and web to work, anyone willing to help with that. i have v2.02 bootloader

ok well i got my web working now as i am doing this on my Apache right now. i do have one question on getting my cricket email address to work in my mobile out look to do mms messages?

Wow!! Great job there madmax1600!! =]=] If it wouldn't be too much trouble, I would love to hear a step by step of what you had to do to get it to work!! Thank you in advance!! I wish I could help you with the Cricket mms... there must be a cab for that somewhere...

i might have found a good arcsoft.cab file to get my mms to work at here along with other .cab files

ok so i have working MMS NOW!!!! what i did was googled for arcsoft version 3.06.22 so i found one that was for sprint and did the registry edit from the link tinkerbell gave me and i have working mms on my APACHE 6700.

i will do a write up when i can and this is all with a stock wm5 alltel rom and everything is working for cricket.

your very welcome tinkerbell. so here is my long awaited write up.

Ok so here is my write up on how I got my htc apache ppc 6700 with alltel oem rom to work with cricket.

I started out with a hard reset and when it said configue device screen I did a soft reset so the stock alltel programs wouldn't be installed. Then I wentto the corolada page to find a cricket evdo prl file and put it on the phone with ##778 after putting it on the sd card. Then to check to make sure it was working I did *228 and it said welcome to cricket. Ok so now it was talking to cricket towers.

Now when I got the cricket account everything worked like the talk and text messaging. Till didn't hav web. So then I found cricket pst setting page and did all the setting in epst. Then I did a new connection along for the wap, then after that I had web working.

Then I worked on getting the mms to work and I found that the arcsoft version worked for me. I also did the settings for the registry edit for the mms. And thanks to tinkerbell for finding that thread for me so I could get those setting and bang I had mms on my phone.

And this is all on a stock alltel rom with cricket service
