flash my ppc6700 to cricket
 

ok so i have an alltel ppc6700 that i got for free and i want to use. i want to keep the os the same but i dont want it with alltel but with cricket. is there a way i can get everything to work like it does with alltel with cricket. without having to do kitchen and roms? just get it to work with crickets web, sms, voice, and mms

ok with the help of searching on my own, i was able to find a working evdo prl file and its talking to cricket towers now. i dont have an account, and all i did was hard reset the phone change the prl, its still the stock settings from alltel but just a evdo cricket prl file, will that work to have web, sms, mms, and talk?

That is cool that you got that to work! When are you getting the cricket account so that you can test in the real world?

not sure yet when i will have an account, i have no money, but as soon as i do i will ask them for all the stuff that i need cause i know over on howard forums, i found some for pst settings and other cricket related stuff, i just hope that i can use the stock rom and work around that. but if not i would like to find a rom that will work without any bugs

Humm... that money thing is ALWAYS a problem! Well, I hope you are able to get it working there. It would be nice if you could flash a custom Rom with at least wm6.1 to it. The stock Rom is almost unusable.

i would like to do a custom rom with wm6.1 or anythings like that, but i would like one that already has no bugs, and everything for cricket working on it

Yes, I understand where you are coming from with that. Less problems is always a better choice. I guess it is time to collect cans, flip burgers, manage a company or whatever else you can do to get some money so you can activate and test. Let us know how it turns out there!

yeah im in the works in trying to find a job they seem to be rare nowadays... i hate not having a job, but ill let everyone know how it goes. if anyone has a generic rom or a cricket rom with wm6 on it let me know
