the first thing I would do is take some things off, especially in your startup folder

Go to Setings>System>Memory and tell us how much memory you have left.

I would first start by doing routine maintenance as shown in the Tutorials on my NEWBIE Website Maintenance before I'd start taking programs off my device. The lacking of cleaning up any computer is the most common culprit in system slow downs.

Also while you are on that page you will see a tab for running programs. If you do not have an X button program such as Wktask to close programs then you may have programs that are running in the background that you thought you closed. Unfortunately WM5 and WM6 do not close the programs, they only minimize them. So if you don't have one of these programs search around and find one or frequently go to running programs and close them.

You can also use an overclocking application such as Pocket Hack Master which will help some but I would go through and clean up the device first and then see about what apps you need to startup and which ones you do not.
