Please help me with this

I know you all have upgraded to WM6. So I feel like I should give it a try. So if someone has the link to where I could get the download from. Also could someone tell me the steps I need to do in order for this to go smoothly.

Will I lose my contacts? If so I have tried using activesync to back up my phone but it tells me I need to use outlook in order to do so. I have opened outlook and tried it but I just cannot figure it out. Thats one thing I am worried about when upgrading is that I could loose all my information.

Thanks for all the help in advanced.

I have the 6700 for sprint if that makes a difference.

1: Yes, upgrading will hose all data on the phone. The only way to save it is to back it up.
2: Im gunna take a guess that you have outlook express which is not compatible with Active sync, you need full blown outlook. So here are the three options that I can think of for you... A)get outlook B)Get a copy of PimBackup <http://www.freewareppc.com/database/pimbackup.shtml>, make a backup, copy it to either you computer or your memory card if you have one, flash, install pimbackup again(available as an OEM in the Kitchen listed below), and restore C)Lose your contacts and rewrite them after words.
3:Instructions and stuff is at <http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=11074>. that is Helmi-cs WM6 release. The easiest and most customizable. just download the kitchen, download the PPCGeeks OEM file, put it the the same directory, plug the phone in and run the program, pick your files, flash the phone and your off and running(little more complicated, gotta try it first though). any questions can be posted and answered rather quickly.

Another option for backup would be to use a free Exchange server like mail2web.com
