use w/o battery?

is there a way to use my apache just on my charger and remove my battery???? my brother just showed my that he can do it on his samsung i730

I could see this being useful if you needed to change the battery but didn't want to interupt a call/data connection...

i talk on the phone alot and my battery would be fully charged if i am able to have it run just on the cable then i wont over kill my battery...

doesn't work with the Apache. Tried it when I first got a spare battery. Removed the battery and swapped, flipped the phone over and it was resetting. Somehow it won't run without the battery installed.

Tried it on my XV6700 and no battery, no work (yes you can sing that to the Bob Marley tune).

I have no problem using my PPC6700 without the battery when it's connected to my car charger. For some reason, it won't work on the home/travel charger or the OEM cradle, but it does work in the car.
