XF6700 question for newby

(Verizon HTC XV5600 Apache)

tonight 8/24 and have some questions:

and will be activating on Pages Plus

1) My daughter is insisting on having bubble breaker and solitaire (and would like me to download a free backgammon). I take it WM5 doesn't come with it?

2) If I need to update it, what steps would I take to go from stock to something that has Bubble Breaker and Solitaire? Can this go up to WM 6.5?

3) I'm a complete newbie here. Can someone give me steps what I need to apply and in what order?

3A) Does this phone need to be unlocked for example? If so, with what file?

3B) I don't think this model has GPS, right?

4) Is there an already made file I can just flash to get me the latest and greatest? I've never used "kitchen sink" before and it looks hard.


I know this is all here...somewhere....but I"m confused about what exactly applies to my model and what doesn't.

2. Yes, you can go to WM6.5 but don't do it blindly. Watch the videos and tutorials:

3A. Don't need to unlock. Need to activate on CDMA network; never heard of PagesPlus.
3B. Right, no GPS functionality except 911.
4. All info in this forum and the update subforum applies to the Apache. This is a pretty old forum so not that active but I'm pretty sure if you search you will find the answer. Someone has asked it before!
