(shocked!) You're getting notifications with a threader?! If so, you're already miles ahead of me.
Your Voice Command settings may be different depending on whether you're using one of Bad Sector's IDTransfer apps to transfer the audio or using the latest hack that's included in the kitchen. Start/settings/personal/VoiceCommand/Notifications - if you're using the kitchen, set it to the top button, "Announce notifications using Bluetooth hands free only" or the second button, "...using Bluetooth hands free if available." Using IDTransfer, set it to whatever works - this can vary based on my experience.

I have gotten New Mail notifications with the Threader since build 1.2s (s=smileys) for Verizon. I am using twinkyApacheWM6Threader_v1.2s
I will play my custom soung (You Got Mail). Just wish it would play it in the BT Headset when its connected/paired. I dumped the ID Transfer and am using the VC_Fix NO IDTransfer Needed. In settings/voice Command I have Messaging checked and then I click Options and Announce new messages is checked as well. And it will announce to the device speaker, but not to the BT Headset. settings/Voice Command Announce notifications using Bluetooth hands free only (or changing it to if Available) doesn't change anything. Also, I left Only during free time unchecked. |

OK - my mistake - I misread your OP and thought you were talking about MSVC voice notifications, not just the sound. I'm using the same threader and also get the notification sound from the speaker.

I was running BTAudio for a while. Didn't like leaving the open channel to the headset like you said. I can live without the notifications for txt messages going thru the bt headset. |
