You need to set your PC up to receive Remote Desktop Connections, usually using the name/pass you log into the computer with. Make sure pc is not routered or firewalled... find the IP of the PC..... get a conneciton from your ppc to the internet... start remote desktop app... enter your PC ip into the PPC with username/pass or when it prompts... should be good to go after that.

If you're behind a router, you need to open port 3389 on it and point it (under the port forwarding section) to your PC's IP address.

You can also change that port number in the PC registry so it's not so generic.

You can also look into a dynamic DNS service so you have a FQDN rather than an IP address to point to.
