Can't sync or access FTP at home. It's fine at work. Ideas?
This has been happening for the last several months and I've tried to fix it own my own but I give up - can anybody help me?
I can active sync and access FTP servers at my office with no problem at all. My office has a Microsoft Exchange server for what it's worth (if anything at all). We also have a 1/2 T1 line and I connect wirelessly. We have a proxy server.
I'm clueless as to why I can't access FTP or active sync at home. I'm using the exact same computer (Toshiba laptob). I have DSL and connect wirelessly to a router at my house.
The only think I can think of is firewall settings are different, but I'm not familiar with firewall settings a whole lot. I did access my actiontec router's settings and made sure the firewall is turned off completely. Is it possible Windows firewall has different settings at my house than it does at work even though it's the same computer?
If firewall doesn't seem to be to blame, does anybody have other ideas?
