do i need excel mobile to backup contacts?

hello i run windows vista and i flashed my custom rom to my phone but i dident include any on the microsoft products because i dont really need them but i want to reflash my phone and i want to save my contacts its like 300 contacts is there anysort of program or sumthing that lets me backup my contacts digitaly from ppc to computer

basically im asking if theres a program i can install on my ppc that will save all my contacts to a file and send it to my computer via activesync or any other way possible=D>=D>=D>

Two I've used, one is call Outlook, which activesync connects directly to, store contacts, calander, and a whole mess of other stuff. The other is PIM Backup. You can set it to back up then transfer the files manually off the handset when you connect with active sync. Hope that helps
