so i decided to disassemble my 6700. guess what i found.

I have had no radio for the past few days, and searching everything thinking it was a software issue. To no avail, so i decided to take the 6700 apart and do a good cleaning with alcohol. Upon examining the board, i noticed a small resistor/cap not sure exactly its a black ceramic/plastic piece about half the size of an ant. its broken off not sure how it happened.

Anyway, does anyone know how i could go about making theses points contact so the phone radio will start working again.

also i did think i might have knocked it out when i took it apart. But, the phone still works how its been without the radio, so i figure its been the problem.

I'm going to try and post some pictures. here it is its the black dot on the top left of the black square. Anyone know if this is radio related? could save me a bunch of time trying to figure out how to replace it. would hate to replace it and then have it be something else. Please someone help please.. i know am a newbie to the forum.. people don't like us.. please help please..

Don't bother replacing the resistor.
I hope you have insurance.
Take it to your local sprint dealer for repair or replacement.

Unfortunately, the mainboard of an apache isn't like the motherboard of a computer where you can pop components in and out of it to repair something. In most cases, even UT Starcom won't repair a mainboard for a warranty job--they just replace it.

I doubt it has anything to do with the radio. The radio stuff should be enclosed in the metal covers to prevent EM interference. That close to the battery contacts, it probably has something to do with the charging circuit.
