Taurus, read the thread - it was a one-time offer since Vguy was moving onto another device and had some spares.

I got inundated with PMs about the batteries and other parts I had. Please stop PMing me. I've distributed the remaining ones I had. I can't even keep my inbox open. It fills up as soon as I empty it.

I would have to say eBay. I paid $5.95 for an OEM battery. I brought the battery from an eBay seller by the name of:
wholesaleoem( 17290)

I charged the battery and let it fully drain 3 times as the instructions stated and I haven't had any problems.. I don't remember how much the shipping was.

Looks like a pretty good deal... http://search.stores.ebay.com/Wholes...393338QQsofpZ0
The photo looks like my suspected counterfeits - which still work fine. The differences from my original (Feb 07) battery are a) The label printing is slightly coarser - the "Personal Communications" under "UTSTARCOM" is a different font, also the "CM" in the lower right corner is missing; b) the plastic rim overlaps the metal casing on the label side, and the plastic has a smoother finish; c) the metal back has a rougher finish and has a number of obvious crimp marks next to the plastic rim. Does anyone else see these differences with known OEM UTStarcom replacement batteries? Maybe they just went to a cheaper supplier.
