bt pan vs wifi ap helmi wm6 6700

Just wondering about peoples experiences with wireless tethering.

I recently got the helmi rom on my xv-6700.

I've seen some posts that show difficulties with bt pan and it can't be used, has anyone seen a guide on how to make this work?
