Couple of things:
I assume you're talking about the main program and not the QuickClean secondary application? Because Quickclean is dependent on the main program for it's settings e.g. what it will actually clean (so you could set it to skip registry if you wanted to). In the main program, obviously you check what you want to clean. Then, you can usually hit Scan to see what it finds and then you can hit Clean to actually delete stuff. So assuming the above, you're saying that you are scanning for the files and then hitting "Clean". Then you Scan again and the files have not been deleted? If that is the case, then something is very wrong and I suggest a re-install. I've never had MemMaid find someting and not been able to delete it. Alternatively, you could try SKTools which also has a registry cleaner which may help. |

yea I was using the main program and it wasn't finding them. have ya ever found bad entries? but ya its probably one of the programs that's causing the problem. I installed probably at least 15 different ones and some just didn't work and made it unstable or I didn't like the.

I'm confused you say here: "I knew there was alot of left over registry entries."
How did you know? I mean, when you uninstall a program, the goods ones do remove the reg entries. so sometimes you don't find anything. run SKTools to double check. to answer your question: yeah, i find bad reg settings, sometimes after I uninstall, but not always. it definitely picks up the orphaned files and icons. |
