Cricket WM6.5 WAP proxy fail issues, only IE works

I've spent the last many days searching many forums getting this phone working with Cricket. So far I've learned a lot and have seen enough posts that reply 'go search'. So I'm not posting without trying to help myself first.

I've done all this:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...75&postcount=8
http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showpost.p...92&postcount=1

And more that I can't find the posts for again.

I'm using PADJ's Clean wm6.5 rom for apache.

The plan I'm on comes with 'mobile web', I think that only provides web through their crap portal. So I went to the store and had them add that HTML Data plan for $15 a month. I'm not sure if that was necessary or not since I had done many things afterwards. So MMS is working, and WAP is kind of. I have a EVDO connection. I can browse with IE mobile, but that's it. Email doesn't work, that weather plugin doesn't work, Opera gives an error that it can't find the proxy. Then I tried to USB teathering it, and it didn't work. Then I went into the Firefox settings and told it to use the wap.mycricket.com:8080 as the proxy, and that did work Nice and pretty fast. It worked for about 20min, and then stopped working. Nothing changed, I rebooted the pc and ppc and still no go. IE mobile still working, so maybe cricket could have blocked the teathering?

Why isn't the proxy working on the device on anything but IE? I have the proxy for HTTP, but also tried putting it in for WAP/SOCKS/Secure wAP in different combinations. I have he mycricket sites setup in the exceptions.

Help?
