Need Help!, ActiveSync Not Connecting

I need help in repairing my ActiveSync connection between my PPC-6700 and my PC.

Connection has been losts since adding USB WModem (CDMA) for using my phone as a modem to my Laptop.

1.) ActiveSync not connecting = Not seeing Device
2.) No partnership seen on my phone in ActiveSync mode.

I have two different laptops! I added USB WModem (CDMA) to both! May have lost the partnership or something to do with the same USB connection between "ActiveSync" and "WModem".

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Sircas

Hey, I have had this problem before. ActiveSync would not connect. I mainly had this problem with the newer versions of AS. Try re-installing AS. I think this is the only way around it.

I have uninstalled & installed AS 2 or more times, now. I have uninstalled in Device manager, network addaptors.

It just keeps trying to conect without connecting! This has been the problem since installing CDMA & using my phone as a modem (WModem).

Have you tried Activesync mode? It toggles between RNDIS and USB and has helped with connection issues, sometimes by just switching modes and switching back.

Hope it helps.

I was having the same problem. It fixed itself when I did a soft reset while connected via USB.

I was having the same problem, but after downloading the ActiveModeSync to my phone it worked. (Since I couldn't get my phone to connect to the PC, had to follow this option

Option 2: INSTRUCTIONS FOR INSTALLING ACTIVESYNC MODE CAB FILE

on to the PPC6700 & XV6700 from the Internet Explorer on the 6700

it will automatically install to the device
  • After install, Close all programs on the device
  • Tap Start, then select Programs, and then Active Sync Mode
  • Switch from RNDIS to USB, then tap OK
  • Close all programs then Sync with your computer.
