I need to overwrite notify.wma...

I've tried total commander and it tells me that it can't overwrite and/or delete the file... what do I need to do to remove or overwrite this file?

What are its properties and did you reboot before you tried to overwrite?

yeah it wont over-write or replace if some other app is using it at the time, the properties of the file will tell you if it can he over-written

Assuming you're running a kitchen custom, isn't notify.wma built into the rom? You would need to overwrite it in the kitchen before flashing.....

Yeah I am... damn, I just got it all setup how I wanted. Too much trouble to go back and start over at this point.

even though its in the rom you could possibly overwrite it still... just as long as you are not trying to move or delete it... name the new file the same as the old and just copy it over to where the old file is... do you want to overwrite say yes, do it with total commander and after a fresh reboot... if it wont let you at this stage you probably cant do it but with some types of files the system will just read the new file and put the rom file in the background per se.
