PPC 6700 not handling zip filed

I did the hard reset method to get rid of the Sprint programs on the PPC 6700. Then I installed the necessary stuff back..now my PPC won't handle cab files that I download from the internet..do I have to install another one of those cabs under extended_rom??

nall even with a clean ppc meaning not installing any of the .cabs it will read .zips.....so I'm not sure what you got going on there. are you getting errors or what?

lets say i download a program...the zip file comes up after download...i click it and it just makes a loud noise..nothing happens..usually it will unzip.

loud noise ? weird. have u tried manually accessing the .zip through the programs/zip icon?
