txt msging issue

hey guys I've been havinj a recent prob w my txt msgs basically whenever I rcvd a msg from anyone it doesn't display the sender instead I see the first word of the msg as the sender then the rest of the msg in the body. anyone know how to fix this? btw I got wm6 on a 6700

search... you let your carrier customizations run after you flashed the rom. they are built into the wm6 rom. cure is to hard reset(this will delete everything...back it up), then when you see the customizations installing in 3...2...1... do a soft reset. all fixed.

actually I installed them after the rom (was the blank rom wo customizations) bc I was getting an ip error w a ! after connecting to the internet but it still fixed it so what specific one shud I install just for that? and I goess ill hard reset thx

ok I fixed the problem did a hard reset restored a previous working image and figured out what I needed to get rid of error 37 misc error setting up ip is installing 'disabledatacode.cab'

Fixing SMS message issue

Is there any way to fix this without a hard reset? Like a cab file or something? Please help!

fix what? like personally I was having the txt msging issue w the sender being the first word of the msg. but I got that issue bc I installed all my alltel cabs as someone replied to. now I don't know how to fix the txt msging issue w.o. hard reset but I figured to fix the ip error by installing that cab that comes from the alltel set of cabs

Basically i need to fix the SMS issue that started this thread. I too am getting the first couple of words in SMS instead of the phone number.
