AKU Contigency Plan??

Hey all. I have been disatisfied with the performance of my xv6700 and been researching on the forum. I am on the verge of installing AKU 3.5. I have downloaded it and reviewed the support pdf (which was very good), but it is still unclear to me whether installing an AKU is reversible. In other words, if i go thru with this (whether the result is successfull or not), will i be able to revert back to the factory defaults? If so, what would that involve? I tend to be a bit conservative, just in case you can't tell.
thanks in advance

As long as you don't flash your bootloader, you will be able to revert.

Go for it. 3.5 is a lot faster and very well polished at this point.

If you're conservative, just stay away from WM6 for a while, it's not quite "there" yet.

So if i upgrade to AKU 3.5, and if i dont like it, i can flash my rom back to wm6 or the stock rom? i heard once you install this, it will disable future flashing.

As tiermann said earlier, don't flash your bootloader. Flashing your bootloader could possibly hinder future flashes. (Make sure you use the standard RUU or noID when you flash.)

Also, WM6 is getting there. I for one am enjoying it, and it works pretty great for me. Give it a try and see if you like it. If not you can always revert to a lower build, no harm done.

dude, you cam download the stock roms right from utstarcoms webpage. install the rom. if you dont like it just revert back to the stock rom. i have flash my phone like 20 times. not sure but some of these chips are only good for 1000 flashes. or at least rated for 1000 flashes.
just dont unplug the phone till it says to, make sure you have a good charge on the phone. thats it.
