I'm not all that firmilar with the xv6700's hardware but I'm sure it uses standard flash memory (much like the USB flash drives, or the SD cards) which I have never heard of anyone over-writing too many times. I'm sure like everything there is a limit on the lifespan of the device but by then you will probably be on to other things anyways.

Flash Cell Endurance: For Multi-Level Cell (MLC) Flash, up to 10,000 write cycles
per physical sector. For Single-Level Cell (SLC) Flash, up to 100,000 write cycles per physical sector. Just copied from Toshiba (the inventor of flash memory). That should be enough for anyone.
