Backlight Battery Usage!

Well I got bored, so I decided to see how much of a difference in the battery usage the backlight made at different settings. And this is what I came up with.

All Radios Off

Full Backlight - 71 mA
Lowest Backlight - 43 mA
Backlight Off - 22 mA

So it seems that the backlight does make a noticeable difference in the amount of battery used at one time. These tests were done using acbPowerMeter with all radios off.

Backlight in any mobile device is always 50-70% of total power budget.

I always run my wince devices at the lowest possible backlight setting I can stand, maybe that's why I always get "good" battery life.

Nice to have the hard numbers tho - thanks! What's the drain one step up from lowest?
