no service? ppc

so I decided to do a hard reset but not before a back up. and after I restored all files, contacts, and programs I try to make a call but my phone switch to dial pad or show me my contacts, then I noticed the little icon where it shows the signal didn't have any bars so I clicked it and it said no service. first thing came to mine was a bad restore, then I hard reset and restored again(3 times) and still it says no service on the signal icon. the weird thing is that everything else works just fine, even text. any idea what's wrong with my ppc?

ps. I started again to dl all my programs manually and I'm not having any issues right now but I would like to know what really happened.

thanks in advance.

i noticed that too, when i backed up last time and my girl called me when it was about to finish. when i tried to install the backup, it wouldnt let me call out nor recieve. so i reinstalled the back up and it worked. it might be the system files not going through all the way. next time though ill try to install the system files(IOTA and stuff)manually to see if i can get it working by that

A good TIP for everyone--Disable your phone when performing a backp/restore. This will avoid any interruption.
