So i got the 4.2.8.1 version, dropped it in the OEM, selected that MMS, which is in the "OEM" section not the MMS section, and unselected the old MMS, then when i run to make the OS i get "The file 'temp\dump\getMMSVideosizelimit.dll' already exists" guess ill cont to try and see if it works...

at the bottom of the BuildOS screen it says "error, last status:"Processing : OEM\optional_MMS_4281_10-24-07" so not sure i wanna try and flash this and screw up my phone now. anyone else try it or get this error?

So i just deleted that file from the OEM, ran and installed and it all works great. Now i thought the big thing about v4 was MMS and SMS were together, but they are not in 4.2.8.1...so not sure what i gained from 3.5, it seems the same...oh well...i got it so ill use it.

Sorry guys, I forgot about that dll being in there. I have deleted it, and updated it in the ftp. So, it should be fine now. And friguy, yeah the 4.0.31.23 version splits them, but the 4.2.8.1 doesn't. Weird, but hey, I didnt program em. Anyway, the update for both of them as compared to 3.5 is the addition of the soft key useage. The update in 4.2.8.1 from 4.0.31.23 is the ability to watch videos you've recieved right in the message. No longer do you have to save, then go view them in your My Videos folder.

Ok, links are fixed, but these aren't cabs. They are OEM's used with the kitchen.

Kitchen

I just looked at the directions for using the kitchen to build my own ROM. I see that the process is a bit technical for those of us who have yet to become "technosavy". I will have to take a bit of time to digest the process, so it may be a while before I can upgrade to the new mms build. If someone finds a cab file please post it so that those of us less technical folks can use it. Thanks.

Ditto or if there is any other way for a non-techie to do it, please explain.
