Hi

I have a UK O2 XDA Orbit - this is based on the HTC Artemis/P3300. I'm running WM6 and VoiceCommand 1.6. My only issue is no incoming call announcements or email announcements. They worked fine in VC1.6 before I "upgraded" from WM5 to WM6.

Will this fix work for me? If so do I uninstall VC1.6 first?

Thanks for your help.

Yes, the install file has MS VC 1.6, and all the fixes already in place. So uninstall MS VC 1.6 first, then install this cab, and soft reset ur device.

Hi

Thanks for your quick reply - it's much appreciated.

I've uninstalled VC1.6 using Vista's Windows Mobile Device Center, copied the cab file to my Xda Orbit, installed it and done a soft reset.

When I enable the "fixed" VC in settings and click OK I get the error message "Voice Command has encountered a problem. Restart Voice Command and try again". I have tried soft resetting again but still get the same error. Do you have any suggestions please as to how to make this work?

In the meantime I have uninstalled this Fixed version and reinstalled my original VC1.6. This runs, but now, as well as not playing notifications, when I receive a call the ringtone plays through my Xda speaker rather than through the Bluetooth headset as it should do and as it always did before. Soft resetting has made no difference. Help please - I'm now in a worse situation than before I started.

Thanks and regards.

I have a XV6700 with WM 5 aku 3.3 (verizon release) and MSVC 1.6. Transfer of caller ID using MSVC alone or using Bad Sector's IDTransfer1.03 works, but I get both the ring and the caller id audio through the headset. Is there anyway to get just the caller ID to go to the headset while the ring continues to come out of the phone?

Is it safe to say that the VC fix is only good on WM6 platform and not the WM5?

If there is a work around, please share

Re: 1 cab no fuss no Idtransfer VC fix

stevenlawyer, i see that you installed bad sector's 1.03 cab on your phone and it works. i have a samsung i760 and installing his app, it didn't work for me...this is what i did after the install, point out what i'm doing wrong

-soft reset after installation of bad sector's 1.03
-once phone is up, i went to settings and make the ring type to ring and tone to silent
-made sure vc is set to annouce incoming calls.
-made sure to set vc notification to annouce the options...tried all three.

when i get a phone call, i hear caller via my phone...i get a beep thru my jawbone.

about this fix that this post has...i already have vc on my phone..how do i uninstall it...it's not in my remove programs. if i have to manually remove it, can you show me the steps. thanks
