Help with NewMenu

I accidentally changed my left softkey and cannot figure out how to chane it back to newmenu. Can anyone help?

Start > settings > system > New Menu. you will know what to do from there.

Or put the reg file in the zip on you phone, and apply it.

I did the Start > settings > system > New Menu and it didn't work. I tried that before I posted. I get a message that button recognized but a change doesn't occur. I tried doing a soft reset from the new menu screen and that didn't work either.

How do I put the reg file in my phone. I haven't dealt with registry edit much. I try to stay outa there but I would like to fix this issue.
