The screen doesn't actually turn off, at least in my case. The backlight shuts itself off for some reason. If you tilt the phone a little, you can see the items on the screen. Just go to Settings-Backlight. You'll immediately notice the slider for the backlight while on battery has moved all the way to the left. If you slide it to the right, the backlight comes back on. I've had the same problem since I got the phone, even with the original WM5 ROM.

I also experienced this with the original Verizon WM5 rom as well as the Maintenance Release that came followed.

You most likely held down the power button too long. If your blacklight goes out like that, just press and hold the power button on top.

Yeah.. I noticed that no matter how I configure the power options (where you can set timeout period before screen dimming, or standby mode), that the phone only turns off the screen. I always have to make sure to tap power so I'm not bleeding battery power.

Have you installed anything? Or is it just a fresh devel4 install?

when i get an incoming call it takes a long time for it to come up..
upgrade to radio 1.41 or wait until it is included in my install package.

type ##778 go to the modems section and edit the slot cycle. try dropping it to 1 then save and let it reboot.
Note: Don't go mucking around in that menu or you will break it.

I have radio 1.41 but am experiencing the same issue.

I typed in ##778 then selected "edit", however after this it asks for an "unlock code" ..... I assume it is after this screen. I have tried 0000 and the last 4 digits of my phone number...neither worked. any other tips?

Can you include these Windows Media Player codes for TCPMP to play WMV files. I noticed that WMP had degraded video play back on WM6.

Thanks.
