Can't say as I like this... removing a free program that did what I needed (voice dial) and now having to go get one that cost $40.

EVDO Roaming?
 

Anyone having problems EVDO data roaming with WM6? I have not been able to since the change to it. I can 1x data roam, but EVDO gives me a "the modem disconnected....etc" I have checked to make sure all the roaming settings are correct and have tried both 20229 and 60608 PRL's. btw, i am data roaming EVDO on Alltel


EDIT: well, now i tried and it works. weird.

go to your today screen items and uncheck the "HTC BT Quicklink"

Start --> Settings --> Today --> items tab

I'm still unable to connect to my WiFi network.

Is it Smartskey that is installed or is something else giving my D-stick that functionality?
I'm seeing the data-roaming error message occasionally, but it always goes away with a soft reset. Not perfect, but I'll live with it.

I don't seem to be able to get bluetooth or wifi working.

I'll also confirm that it doesn't appear WPA-PSK encryption is working. It either tells me that the network key is bad, when I'm positive it isn't, or the network SSIDs simply don't show up at all.

hidden ext rom / pie issues
 

Thanks all for the info on hiding the extended rom; it was easy to change with resco. I guess my problem is more involved though. Any time I get email from my office (pushed through with activesync), it blows up my wireless sync push of my aol email. I keep getting these messages in wireless sync about bad emails and it only references the work emails. Once I delete those emails in my pocket outlook mailbox, all is well with wireless sync running. Any thoughts?? Second, my PIE isn't working right. While it appears to load pages (shows the connecting, loading, ... KB), the page is blank. This happens about 80% of the time; sometimes I can get the page to load by hitting reload over and over. While I've used opera mini and picsel, I like PIE, as I use PIEPlus with it. Any thoughts? Thanks guys.

So far, the only problems I am having are...

1. Text messaging...replies don't have the number prefilled in...you have to enter the numbers and also it doesn't give you your character count.

2. When using the bluetooth headset, my headset does not beep like it used to to signal a call is coming in...just the phone rings. Also, can we get incoming caller ID over bluetooth headset?
