Thanks. It now works if i delete all the old messages. now I can send and receive.
the vj palmslip program only switches between the email inbox and the sms chat thread right? not between old and new sms programs right?

Does this app have issues with the newest version of PocketCM v0.13?

When I get new txt msg, PocketCM trys to display it first, then the Palm SMS program displays it as well.

Kind of annoying but love the threaded SMS.

Thumbs up Great Job takmsdsm!

Everything went well with the inst on my verizon OS6.

I installed right over the old text messages and then went to options, then in the create chats from messages tab changed the option to always.

Now I see all my old messages ( from the 6700 messagin app) in threaded form and recieve the new ones the same way in the palm app!

This is great!

My question is were we always able to do this with the palm app on OS5?

Mine always used to erase the old messages, not thread them.

Anyway, it's great to have the palm app back.

How do we donate as it's well worth a donation to me.

Thanks,
Stronggeek

There seems to be a conflict, since PocketCM won't allow you to turn off its SMS feature. I too prefer the Palm threader, so I uninstalled PocketCM. I understand a future PocketCM rev might have the contacts and SMS as separate apps. :fingers crossed:

I found the problem with the PocketCM software is the developer himself. He is super stubborn, and gets very .... haughty when people say they prefer to the Palm SMS threader to his. He also wont make it so you can disable the SMS function in his program. So i ditched it, wasnt worth it to me to keep it.

No, this seems to be a new feature of the WM6 version.

i noticed the same from his email response to my question LOL, anyways on his site its noted that in version .14 he will "try" and put a switch on the sms feature dont know how true that is or he is going to sit there and continue to try and push his threaded sms feature..

SIP - SMS Panel
- SMS should display your current SMS
- Future release will handle incoming message, for now it's still the classic SMS crap from WM.
- Future release will probably include option to not use SMS panel.
- Hitting send should send the SMS directly, I got some trouble with it, tell me about i

Can't argue with you there. I have like 4 or 5 questions about the program's functionality up on their forum for about two weeks and not one reply from him. Another reason I took it off...
