I had the palm sms threader on my AKU 3.5, and now it doesn't work on the new WM6 rom.

I installed it 2 ways, neither of which worked.

1 - install WM6, and allow the VZW apps to be installed
2 - install WM6, soft reset before the VZW apps are installed

However, my friend with a Cingular 8525 installed WM6 (I don't think it was Helmi's version), and he has the Palm SMS threader working.

okay, my friend with the Hermes (Cingular 8525) said he got his Palm threader from XDA. He says you need the threader for your specific phone. I'll keep looking.

EDIT: I'm looking, but still haven't seen anything

okay, I got this threader to work. It is a threader, but the layout is different than the Palm SMS threader I'm used to. I'll post some pics....

EDIT: okay, now Activesync doesn't want to work. I wonder if there is a conflict.

EDIT: okay, now I uninstalled it, and Activesync works again. Here is the website where this threader came from. http://www.trianglepowers.com/PPC/Apps.aspx?app=PPC

I was using the "SMS Threader", but I would like to try the "SMS Threader Advanced", as it looks more like the old threader I used to have, but I guess its not out yet. I'm going to try the SMS Threader for WM6

The TrianglePowers.com SMS Threader for WM6 does seem to work (and ActiveSync works too - I'm using Vista).

I must admit, although the threader works, it seems too basic compared to the Palm threader I'm used to. I'm hoping the SMS Threader Advanced will be better.

I think there are more threaders. I'll try them out later.

I used the Triangle Powers version also, but I just have gotten too attached to the Palm Threader. I hope they find a fix for this. The Triangle Powers is a good program and is reliable.

Agreed, it works, but I am definitely attached to the Palm Threader (it is very nice!) .

I'm also trying this Threader (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319899) ShogunMark's WM6 Threader (Which seems to pretty much be the Palm Threader for WM6, but I think it's only for AT&T?
It acts the same as the Palm Threader I used to use.

EDIT: Okay, I noticed the ShogunMark WM6 Threader does work, however, it wouldn't send/receive files. I checked the configuration, and it is set for Cingular.

Does anyone know what the MMS Gateway settings are for Verizon? Maybe someone with WM5, and a working threader can check....

MMS has never worked for CDMA users with the palm threader.
