trying to d/l the upgrade to your phone...what exactly are you doing? the upgrade runs on your PC (not ppc) and your phone should be in bootloader mode and connected by USB cable. No need to delete anything from your phone - the ROM loads into it's own reserved memory section. Back anything you wan't to keep up though, because everything will be deleted when the installation starts.
