Voice Command function

so how exactly is voice command suppose to work? until the end of last week, i had a palm treo 700wx that had voice command built in, someone gave me a 6700 that i turned on friday, i get home and see wm6, and i was like cool. so anyways, i install vc 1.6, and the button 5 hack, now it all works, i say "call name mobile", and it takes me to the mobile number of that person in my contact list, but it doesn't call it? it did on my treo, and i never tried this on 6700 wm5, so i'm unsure if mine is buggy or what.

any ideas anyone? should i hard reset, only install VC and test, or what?

First of all, are you hearing a confirmation from the VC bot (Michelle)? If not, you may want to reinstall VC. If you are hearing a confirmation, check the VC settings found in Settings > Voice Command. Tap on Phone, then click Options. Make sure Confirm when calling by name is unchecked.

First of all, Great work Helmi, my coworkers and I are all running this rom and loving it.

My boss however dropped his newly upgraded Verizon XV6700 and it broke. The replacement he got has a bootloader with version 2.02. Can someone tell me which version he should be using?

You should use the standard Verizon version (non-1.02) posted on the first post...

Thumbs up Too Cool for School !

! ! ! I LOVE MY PHONE AGAIN ! ! !

Yesterday I did the flash, Installed OneBridge (my companies email/calendar/contact sync program), Upgraded to VC 1.6 from 1.5 (Handango only charged me $10 for the upgrade) and installed Luve2Chill's button 5 fix.

After playing with it most of the day, I only saw one issue: It prompted me to close an app due to low memory. Then the screen went totally blank. Rebooted and all was well. Again, I had spent all day hacking and playing with everything from Wifi to BT to the camera, so I'm going to assume it was self inflicted.

Some questions:

1. Is there a way to remove the "Extended_ROM2" directory after its been emptied out?

2. Is there anyway to customize the HTC Home screen? The two buttons that tell me that I have email (left) and text (center) don't always take me to the appropriate messaging box. I believe in both cases it just takes me to the last visited mailbox. I would one to always take me to email and the other to always take me to texts. Can this be set up some how?

3. Has anyone hacked the Verizon GPS code? Its a shame we all have these cool devices that obviously have a GPS receiver on board, but still have to either pay Verizon or connect to an external GPS. Any tips or hacks here worth looking at?
