Is there a way to remove the junkware from this ROM? I did a soft reset when it was about to do the customizing. But I'm not sure what to install from the Extended ROM. Has anyone compiled a list yet? Thanks!

You don't have to install anything from the extended rom. The Sprint customizations are built into the rom.

For future reference, there is a sticky about 3 threads below this one that lists which cabs are necessary for each carrier. Here's the link:

So I can do a soft reset before it does the customizing part and then just install the CABs listed on that page? Basically I want the WM6 on my 6700 but would like to get rid of programs like Audible, etc.

You won't need to install any of the CABs listed if you install one of the pre-customized ROMs. For instance, the Sprint ROM minus the customizing after reset stuff still has all the Sprint customizations that are needed to function and connect, but none of the junkware like the Audible stuff.

Since it was just pointed out that Blade's Triangle Powers site is up and running again... I wonder if anyone has any suggestions (preferably from experience) as to whether an Apache running WM6 should use the PPC6700 Hacks or the PPC6800 Hacks CAB? The hacks are more dependent on the ROM than on the actual hardware... sooooo?

When I installed the ROM I noticed AudiblePlayer, GetGood, Software Store. Is there anyway to remove these?

If you plan on using any of the custom rom then do not let the customization software run afer the first reset. The device must be soft reset again when it say "... 3 seconds.." (something like that anyway)

Only problem that i have seen so far, is that my dialer is all black except for the area where it shows if the call is connected and the little icons. That area is the old blue color, and the rest of the screen is black.

Is there a way to fix that little bit of color?
Yeah, I'm not wild about that either. I'm not sure if it is Hemli's ROM or just WM6, but the new dialer is pretty ugly.

Sounds like you either A) didn't soft reset while the "Customizing in 3..2.." prompt was up or B) didn't hard reset after flashing the rom. To fix either problem, just hard reset now (hold down the keys found above the "begin call" and "end call" buttons while sticking the stylus in the reset button hole.) If you don't see "press Y to restore to default", then you didn't hard reset. Once it resets, just make sure you soft reset during the "customizing..." prompt.
